What is Craniosacral Therapy?

The craniosacral system includes the bones of the skull down to the tailbone which enclose the brain and spinal cord. This gentle technique helps to balance flow of fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord.  The object is to find areas of restriction and to re-establish normal movement which may potentially influence the entire nervous system.

How does Craniosacaral Therapy work?

  • Gentle hands on treatment approach that helps release restricted areas and restore fluid movement through out the body

  • In a relaxing environment the therapy applies light touch to release stress on the body and central nervous system.

  • Healing occurs by the patient as the therapist facilitates of the bodies natural self-regulation elements.

  • Underlying sources of restriction may be physical, emotional or spiritual.

Testimonials. . .

After living with and trying to heal chronic neck pain for over ten years, I felt encouraged  when I met John Alegi for a different PT approach. Now, for the first time in ten years, I live without neck pain and am feeling relief throughout my body as we continue to work together. I am someone who has lived through countless physical traumas and several emotional traumas that I unknowingly minimized. Part of the healing that has occurred with John’s help has come from acknowledging those traumas. The other part has come from allowing my body to process its release as it is ready. John is an incredibly gifted manual practitioner and teacher. He lives by what he teaches and is fully authentic. I am forever grateful for his gifts and his commitment to his patients. –Anne
